          Name: Ruben Gallego

          Age: 38 years old

          Political Affiliation: Democratic party

Ruben Gallaego represents Arizona's 7th District. Ruben was born in Chicago on November 20, 1979. He, along with my three sisters, was raised by his single mother. He was very poor in his childhood, however, he still managed to make top marks in high school. His grades earned him a space at Harvard University in the class of '04. Ruben graduated in the top 10% of his class with a degree in international relations. He is currently in the process of divorcing his wife of 6 years.

After his graduation, Ruben entered the ranks of the United States Marine Corps.  He was deployed to Iraq in February, 2005 and returned in September of the same year. But what really got him involved with politics was the way he was treated by the VA when he went to seek treatment for PTSD. The fact that many of his friends along with himself had to wait so long for such vital help is what really got him into politics.

Before his appointment as representative of the Arizona 7th, Ruben was a member of the Arizona state legislature from 2010-2014. And served as Assistant Minority leader from 2012-2014. He is currently on the Committee on Armed Services with Subcommittees on Tactical Air and Land Forces as well as Readiness. He is also on the Natural Recourses committee with Subcommittees on Energy and Mineral Resources, Oversight and Investigation, and Water Power.

In his free time, Ruben does work for local Phoenix based charities and organizations such as the Valley Citizens League, the Phoenix Children's Museum, and sits on the Community Advisory Board for South Mountain Community College.
